An Essential Winter Item

One item I forgot to mention when kitting out for winter, The Buff. You don’t need a big snuggly one, that will just overheat you. A thin summer version is perfect. They are deceptively warm anyway and once you’re cycling, you will soon warm up. The buff is perfect for keeping the icy cold air out of your lungs if you lift it up over your mouth and nose. It is also great for keeping your ears warm if you don’t already have something. Cheap to buy at R.R.P. £14.99. I wouldn’t live without mine. I carry it with me all the time, even when I’m not cycling.

The buff is also very versatile and with a few fancy hand movements it doubles up as a hat and other cool ideas.
